 Environmental and Recycling Policy

 

Old Machines/worn parts:

Where ever possible all machine that are removed from service that are not returned to the customer from the workshop will to stripped down to their base products and recycled

This also includes parts of machines that have been replaced though standard wear and tear or have had to be replaced for whatever the reason.

 

Batteries will be returned to the supplier or to a scrap metal merchant for recycling.

 

Cast aluminium, aluminium, steel and electrical wiring will be disposed of through a scrap metal merchant

 

All oils will be recycled though the local transfer station.

 

Where plastic can be disposed of through the local body Plastics recycling facility/collection, it will be disposed of in this manner.  Plastics not able to be recycled will be taken to the local Transfer station for disposal.

 

Packaging:

 Cardboard packing and paper will be reused where practicable all surplus cardboard will disposed though the local recycling centre based at the local Transfer centre or though the kerb side recycling.

 

Filters and Cloth Bags:

Filter if not past their usage period and are good condition (undamaged) they will be cleaned in the first instance as per suppliers instructions (if they are cleanable).

If they clean up ok they will be returned to the machine until the usage period is up at which point a replacement will be fitted.

Cloth bags will be check for damage and cleaned and will only be replace if they are no longer fit for purpose.

 

Invoicing

Where practical all invoices and statements will be emailed
